Symptoms that arrive gradually are the hardest to describe accurately, because there is no clear before to compare against. Writing them down as they happen turns “I think it has been worse lately” into something specific — and specific is what makes an appointment useful.
Symptom self-check
An informal, original check-in across commonly reported symptom areas. Not a validated diagnostic instrument, and nothing is stored or sent anywhere.
The value is in the record over weeks, not in any single entry.
Stated plainly, because it matters.
Is this a validated menopause questionnaire?
No. It is an original, informal self-check written in plain language covering commonly reported symptom areas. It is not the Greene Climacteric Scale, the Menopause Rating Scale, or any other validated instrument, and it has not been clinically validated.
Does it give me a score?
It shows how many areas you marked and a plain-language summary. There is deliberately no numeric score and no threshold, because a clinical-looking number invites being read as a diagnosis, which this is not.
Can it tell me if I am in perimenopause?
No. Nothing here can determine that. Symptoms overlap heavily with thyroid conditions, sleep disorders, anaemia, stress and medication effects, and distinguishing between them requires a clinician and usually testing.
Do I need to log every day?
No. Log when something stands out. A record built from occasional honest entries is more useful than a daily streak that becomes a chore and then stops.
Can I see symptoms against my hormone doses?
Yes, in the app. If you are tracking estradiol or progesterone, symptom entries appear on the same timeline as dose changes so the sequence is visible.
Is anything I enter here sent anywhere?
The self-check on this page runs entirely in your browser and stores nothing. If you use the full app, entries are saved to your account, encrypted in transit, and never sold or shared.
Can I export what I log?
Yes. Pro accounts export the complete history as JSON or CSV, which is what most people bring to an appointment.
Does using this cost anything?
The self-check and every calculator on the site are free with no account. The tracker has a free tier for one active cycle, with Pro at $4.99/month or $49.99/year.
